I know you have said that open thread for readers would be fun, but you do not have enough readers for it to work. But if you will not post for long time anyway, then even the "not enough" would be worth it?

Funny, I have never felt any need to write "Thomas was here" on real life items, but here I sometimes do want to leave a note on wall.

PS: even if I may be like the cat in the youtube video (this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yd1qZ02un38 ), just wanting to make sure: "I did not fail to catch an entry by Columbina! I was just walking by, I did not expect any entry .... In fact, I just wanted to drop a link or a bit of news myself"

I'm glad you're not dead! Although, I didn't think you'd put up anything today once I saw your post about going into a meeting.

Does this mood get worse around this time of year? The lack of enough sunshine really gets to me, and it also comes out as a foul mood directed at anyone and anything. My HappyLite (ugh) seems to help.

Thomas: I have never worried much about open threads because I don't police staying-on-topic anyway. (Drafty here in my glass house, y'know.) Pretty much any thread can become an open thread, within reason.

Joy: I do definitely suffer from seasonal affect, but at the moment there are a number of other concrete causes ranging from my cat to my neck, which don't seem worth going into.

ETA preemptively for usage wonks: If I had meant to write "effect," I would have done. The margin is insufficient to explain why "affect" is actually correct in this extremely narrow context.
