Dessicated Botany (You Find A Yellowed Journal)
This area is updated extremely seldom. While I keep it mostly public for legacy reasons, when I update here, it is mostly for my own sake, and anyone who wants to read it should get tested for masochism, as well as for a strong stomach. That is your sole and final warning.
If I know you, and you would like to engage in occasional social exchange with me online, try my personal Twitter account, which I watch and update all day long Monday-Friday (I tend to avoid it in the evenings and on weekends). During business hours my usual response time there is measured in minutes, if not seconds.
If you are interested in the shiny things I find and link and comment upon all day long you should go to Impudence, which is a Tumblr account, with a corresponding Twitter feed to announce new posts. Comments may be left at the Tumblr account.
People who have a legacy login here can still leave comments here if they are logged in and can remember their password. I am not granting new logins at this time.
I post photos erratically on Flickr. Most pictures are open to all, but you need to be a friend of mine there to see pictures of certain things - real people, my home, my workplace. Send me a request there if you're interested. I will friend you if I have the slightest idea who you are.
I check personal email about once a week but it is still a reasonably viable method for communications that aren't fiercely urgent. columbina at eccentricflower dot com will reach me if the spam folder doesn't eat it.

On the list of the ten thousand projects I will never finish in my lifetime, redoing my archives is somewhere near 99,998. If there's something you're looking for specifically - and I have no idea why you would - then write me and I'll see if I can dredge it out. Waiting for the work below to be finished would be a mistake.
Big fiction is over in the Works area, but I have all sort of little fictiony things in my journal which I am noting here as I find and/or relink them. This is probably a better way to get at them than Category:Fiction, which also picks up me talking about the business/practice of writing fiction.

Old Archives (The Excavation)
Ever so slowly dusting off history. As with archaeology, the oldest material is at the bottom.
