Two Stories

In honor of August, I have committed fiction. You like stories, don't you? Of course you do. Everyone likes stories. These are both fresh-baked this very day for your reading pleasure.

The first is in someone else's universe, barely, which makes it technically fanfic. It is quite short (barely 600 words).

Ernst Eternal

The second is 2300 words and is one of those things where I'm not at all sure the pacing will happen in your head as it does in mine. I've tried my best to slow down time as you read it, but I'm not sure if the incantations will work. It was originally going to have a more depressing ending, but it altered itself as I wrote it.

The Visitation Room

If you link either of these for other people - and I would be pleased if you did, although there is absolutely no obligation - do link directly to the story pages. That way there is at least a chance they will wander through the other stories and think, "Wow, what keen stories," instead of wandering through this journal and thinking, "Wow, what a neurotic asshole."

Ursula:

I did think both stories were quite good, and I wish I had more to say than that.

If "Ernst Eternal" is fan fiction, so is most of what Alan Moore has written the last 30 years or so.
