And now, since it is apparently time to write my biennial short story, here it is, just under 900 words, and slightly creepy.
Interesting. Write some more.
Maybe it's just from living in advertising-saturated LA, but the part at the end made me think of some sort of viral campaign involving some new form of skywriting. I know, it's meant to be something more vague and sinister than that. But we have the sides of entire skyscrapers given over to ads here, and Blade Runner-style video billboards all over, so colorful letters in the sky aren't that much of a stretch.
