In addition to some behind-the-scenes improvements, I cleaned the June 1999 journal entries, and in the process of that, dug out some fiction.
"Lies Beneath The Skin" is one of my favorite vignettes. Some of you may still remember it. It's still good.
Also, that led me to dredge the former H story out of the vault and put it in the Works area. It's down in the ephemera because, despite many false starts and a great deal of pain, it's not my best work. In fact, it's a little annoying that the story is flawed after all that effort, whereas "Lies" - which has never been changed or improved from its first draft, exactly the way it was tossed onto the page - hits its intended mark perfectly. Sigh.
I probably won't post an entry tomorrow because I'm going to be frantic (there will be a photo though), and Thursday is Commencement so god knows what will happen - so hopefully this will be enough material to keep everybody pleased for a bit.
